- This blog is a collection of portfolio assignments from my Masters in Technology Education classes at Lesley University. The reason I chose to pursue a masters in technology is that my school is a 21st Century school and we are a pilot middle school for new technology. It is exciting to learn the new software and the Smart boards will be installed in November. I want to become proficient with using technology in the classroom and incorporating technology into my lesson plans. I am currently teaching a sixth grade seminar class where technology will become very much a part of the curriculum since a few teachers and I have created the basis for the curriculum. In the past sixteen years I have taught seventh and eighth grade science and language arts. Seminar is a combination of language arts, science and reading classes. Because these three subjects are a passion of mine, it has been a real joy to teach seminar for the past four years. I have used technology in the past several of my lessons but I am not sure the technology reinforced the student learning. At Lesley I am learning how to use technology to enhance student learning.
